Description
Cross border cooperation is essential in life sciences and also in biotech business. Modern high technologies need the exchange of knowledge and competent partners to be competitive in global markets. It is a challenge to establish successful cross border cooperation in Europe and particular in the new European countries. The cultural and social diversity of Europe as a result of history is reflected in a multitude of nationally different systems, structures and legal conditions. The border regions are immediately involved in this development. Owing to its geographic situation, Euroregion POMERANIA is not only a link between Central Europe and Eastern Europe but also between these regions and Scandinavia at the Baltic Sea. Case studies from cross border projects funded by the programme "European territorial cooperation" - "Cross-border cooperation" of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern/Brandenburg and Poland (Wojewodschaft Zachodniopomorskie) 2007-2013 (INTERREG IV A) will demonstrate successful examples of cross border cooperation. |
